EXHAUST FLEX CONNECTORS Back to Main Page

Exhaust flex connectors can provide you with a high temperature vibration isolator at the engine manifold. DME exhaust flex vibration isolators are being used in a variety of critical engine applications such as prime power generation and marine exhaust systems. They can also be used on standby generators and emergency fire pumps. Here at DME Inc., you can have your choice from a variety of flex connectors and expansion joints that you can use for your exhaust systems. Our expansion joints and flex hoses are built by dedicated craftsmen that strive to be the best in the industry today. We try to make use of only the finest materials and follow only the accepted industry standards in order to give you a product that has been known for excellence the world over. Aside from providing you with a complete product line for your exhaust systems, we also try our best to provide you with the highest level of service every time. We value our customers and work towards building lasting relationships. That is why we make sure that each customer is satisfied with the service that we give them. We try to respond to all our customers' needs whenever possible and make sure that they get only the best from us and nothing less.
When it comes to engine exhaust flex connectors, DME has the finest selections of standard and non-standard designs available for you. We will build them to your exact specifications without adding to the delivery time. We have exhaust flex connectors with fixed flanges that are heli-arc welded directly to the flex hose. The flex hose is always made from T-321 high temperature stainless steel and the flanges can be furnished in either carbon steel or stainless steel. DME has one of the largest inventories of special flanges to fit Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Mitsubishi and many more generator set engines. We also have exhaust flex connectors that have floating flanges that will ensure proper bolt-hole alignment every time. After the flange is rotated in place it is secured to the stub end, gasket, and mating flange when bolted together, preventing any alignment problems. We also have Waukesha connectors with lip flanges on one end. The lip flanges can be secured with the use of a V-band clamp that usually comes with the engine. We also have connectors with increasing flanges that allows size transition on any flex connector or expansion joint. DME also offers a cone increasing flange connector that will provide a smooth flow when there is a need for an increase in the system pipe diameter thus lowering the back pressure. DME can also provide you with a cone reducing flange connector as well.
Other exhaust flex connectors available for you here at DME include a 90 degree angled turbo flange assembly that can be mated directly to the turbocharger outlet by using a V-band clamp. We also offer a flanged offset flex assembly in cases where the engine exhaust outlet and the roof penetration are not properly lined up. An offset flex assembly is an economical solution to connect misaligned exhaust pipe systems. DME can also fabricate flex assemblies with a spacer tube to make connectors fit precisely into any space requirement. With this type of exhaust flex connector, field welding and additional flanged connectors are no longer required. We have many other flex connector options available for you. We can customize such connectors for you according to your exact specifications. We can also provide you with other DME products such as pre-fabricated piping and tube sections. A bolt together exhaust piping system eliminates the need for expensive on-site welding. We can also provide you with high quality tube elbows and exhaust tubing when your project calls for a field welded system. To complete the job DME has a wide selection of adapters and gaskets as well as roof thimbles and raincaps. We also have a line of braided flex hose assemblies and expansion joints that can be used for the engine cooling water lines. Let our team of sales engineers help you design just the right expansion joint to handle all of your exhaust system piping growth. We have many more products available here at DME. You can expect only the best when you check out all the products that we have in store for you.
